When the ranks of Adornians were joined by mysterious Noxes, all the research centers of the Imperium were given an urgent task to find heroes to balance up the new enemy.

The Gridwald laboratory backed by Lord Carlos got closest to the solution. Melanie Lipri, widely known in academic circles for her research on Chudes and developments in the field of primebiology, was invited to guide the experiment.

The experiment created new specimens of life, of which Vryl 13 was recognized as the most promising one.
